Why Boavida Is Different

FAQ

Yes. We use no synthetic chemicals, fertilisers, hormones, or growth stimulants. Our focus goes beyond certification and centres on true ecological integrity, living soil, and ethical animal systems.

We raise pasture-based chickens, pigs, ducks, and rabbits. Each species plays a specific role in soil regeneration, pest control, fertility building, and nutrient cycling — not just food production.

No. All animals are raised outdoors with space, sunlight, and natural movement. For safety, they are housed securely at night, but never confined in industrial systems.

Slow-grown food is healthier, more flavourful, and more ethical. We never force growth or production. Animals grow at natural speeds and vegetables follow seasonal rhythms, resulting in better nutrition and taste.

The Boavida CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a weekly household food subscription launching in January 2026. It provides a complete basket of pasture-raised proteins and heirloom vegetables, limited to 25 households.

Limiting membership protects soil health, animal welfare, and production integrity. Overscaling a regenerative system leads to ecological damage — we prioritise quality and sustainability over volume.

Each weekly basket includes:

  • 1 dozen pasture-raised heritage eggs
  • 1 whole 2 kg pasture-raised chicken
  • 1.5 kg pasture-raised pork chops
  • 7–10 seasonal heirloom vegetables

All are produced regeneratively and seasonally.

We respect natural cycles. If an item is limited, it is replaced with another regenerative product, such as rabbit meat, duck eggs, duck meat, extra vegetables, or pork products — never with industrial replacements.

Yes. We offer weekly ordering for vegetables and proteins via WhatsApp, subject to availability. CSA members always receive priority access.

Orders are placed via WhatsApp. Each week, an availability list is sent out. You reply with your order and collection or delivery choice. Payment is made via EFT.

Yes. Weekly home delivery is available to selected estates in the Hartbeespoort area. Farm collection is also available and preferred.
